UPSC की तरफ से Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 का official notification 4 फरवरी 2026 को जारी कर दिया गया है। इसके साथ ही 2026 के exam cycle की शुरुआत भी हो गई है। हर साल लाखों students IAS, IPS, IFS जैसे बड़े पदों के लिए इस exam की तैयारी करते हैं, इसलिए notification निकलते ही सबसे पहले dates, eligibility और form process समझना बहुत जरूरी हो जाता है।
यह जानकारी सिर्फ exam की announcement नहीं होती, बल्कि इसी से तय होता है कि कौन apply कर सकता है, कितनी vacancy है, age limit क्या है और पूरा exam कब-कब होगा।

Notification के अनुसार इस साल कुल लगभग 933 vacancies निकलने की उम्मीद है, जिनमें 33 seats PwBD category के लिए reserved हैं। ये vacancies IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS और कई दूसरी central services में भरी जाएंगी।

2026 – 933
2025 – 979
2024 – 1056
2023 – 1105
2022 – 1022
Final vacancy count बाद में थोड़ा बदल भी सकता है।
IAS, IPS और IFS के लिए candidate का Indian citizen होना जरूरी है।
बाकी services के लिए ये लोग भी apply कर सकते हैं:
India के citizen
Nepal या Bhutan के citizen
1 जनवरी 1962 से पहले भारत आए Tibetan refugee
कुछ खास देशों से India में permanently settle हुए Indian origin के लोग
लेकिन इन categories के candidates को Government of India से eligibility certificate लेना होता है।
किसी भी recognized university से Bachelor’s degree होना जरूरी है
Final year के students भी apply कर सकते हैं
Degree का subject matter नहीं करता, बस graduation complete होना चाहिए
1 अगस्त 2026 के हिसाब से:
Minimum age: 21 साल
Maximum age (General): 32 साल
Category wise relaxation:
General/EWS: 6 attempts
OBC: 35 साल तक age limit, 9 attempts
SC/ST: 37 साल तक age limit, unlimited attempts (age limit के अंदर)
PwBD: 42 साल तक age limit
Candidate की जन्म तारीख 2 अगस्त 1994 से 1 अगस्त 2005 के बीच होनी चाहिए।

यह सिर्फ screening test होता है, marks final result में नहीं जुड़ते।

Essay
4 GS papers
2 Optional subject papers
2 language papers
यह stage knowledge और answer writing skill को test करता है।
Mains clear करने वाले candidates का interview होता है। Final merit list Mains + Interview marks से बनती है।
UPSC का form सिर्फ online भरा जाता है।

Universal Registration Number (URN) बनता है जो future exams में भी काम आता है।

Fee pay करके final submit करें
Submit करने के बाद Application Number generate होता है। इसे future use के लिए संभाल कर रखना जरूरी है।
इस बार notification में service already join कर चुके candidates के लिए कुछ restrictions clear की गई हैं:
जो candidate पहले से IAS या IFS में select हो चुके हैं, वो 2026 exam नहीं दे सकते
IPS officers exam दे सकते हैं, लेकिन फिर से IPS choose नहीं कर सकते
Group A service मिलने के बाद एक बार improvement attempt का option मिलता है (2027 में)
अगर training join नहीं की तो allocation cancel हो सकता है
ये rules खासकर repeat candidates के लिए important हैं।
Notification आने के बाद सबसे जरूरी है सही direction में तैयारी शुरू करना।
सबसे पहले eligibility, age और attempts check करें
Prelims date को target मानकर preparation plan बनाएं
Static subjects + current affairs साथ-साथ पढ़ें
Prelims और Mains की तैयारी अलग-अलग नहीं, integrated तरीके से करें
CSAT को हल्के में बिल्कुल न लें
UPSC की preparation में consistency सबसे important चीज होती है।
UPSC 2026 का notification आना मतलब अब तैयारी का असली time शुरू हो गया है। Dates clear हैं, vacancy clear है और eligibility rules भी सामने हैं। अब candidate के लिए सबसे जरूरी है कि वो अपनी strategy fix करे और discipline के साथ तैयारी शुरू करे।
ये exam सिर्फ knowledge का नहीं, patience और consistency का भी test होता है। जो candidate अभी से planning और regular study शुरू कर देगा, उसके लिए 2026 का attempt काफी strong बन सकता है।
